COMMUNITY
Dedicated to promoting the therapeutic, healing power of music and spreading an awareness for the importance of arts education, the National Music Institute provides performance showcases, master classes and lectures in community centers, schools, retirement facilities and hospitals around the country. These performances, featuring NMI young artists, faculty-mentors, alumni and resident ensembles, are opportunities to engage audiences who have never attended a formal concert or who are no longer capable of attending such events.
NMI's Community Arts Initiative assists with the funding and subsidizing of quality musical entertainment for important, mission-driven charitable events around the country throughout the year. In addition, NMI's, first of its kind, not-for-profit crowd-funding platform is expressly devoted to assisting with the funding of artistic projects whose primary focus is emerging artist development, performance or education. This unique platform provides such projects with administrative guidance and the ability to raise, tax-deductible, community support to nurture the project’s mission.

EDUCATION
Through one-on-one coaching in the classroom and recording production assistance in the studio, NMI is committed to serving as a resource for the creative and professional development of emerging artists. NMI provides expert mentorship as well as immediate financial assistance for those young artists and their families struggling to cover continued musical instruction. NMI's annual Young Artist Awards recognizes extraordinary, diverse talent across musical genres, raising awareness and visibility for their music, and serving as a platform for the launching of their early career.
2024 will mark the introduction of NMI's newest program, identifying, accrediting and promoting exceptional Music Educators and Music Professionals. No matter the region, NMI intends to develop a trusted network of industry professionals who are able to guide and nurture diverse, emerging talent with great promise.
